Do adhesive cable clips damage walls or furniture?
Quality adhesive clips with no-residue acrylic backing will not damage most painted walls or furniture when removed correctly. Peel them away slowly at a very low angle (nearly parallel to the surface). Avoid leaving clips in direct sunlight for extended periods. Test on a hidden area if you have delicate or freshly painted surfaces.

What is the difference between nail-in and adhesive cable clips?
Adhesive clips use peel-and-stick backing — faster to install and leave no holes, but limited to smooth surfaces. Nail-in clips use a small nail or pin and work on any surface including textured walls, wood, and brick. Nail-in clips are more permanent and better for outdoor use where adhesive may fail.

How many cable clips do I need to run a cable along a wall?
Space clips every 12–18 inches horizontally and every 18–24 inches vertically. For a 10-foot cable run, you’ll need roughly 7–10 clips. Use additional clips near corners and direction changes to keep the cable flush against the surface throughout the route.

Can cable clips hold ethernet cables?
Yes. Cat5e/Cat6 ethernet is typically 5–6mm diameter and fits most standard cable clips. When routing ethernet, maintain gentle curves at corners — avoid sharp bends that crush internal wire pairs and degrade network performance. A gentle 90° corner clip helps maintain the correct bend radius.

What size cable clip do I need?
Match the clip opening to your cable diameter. Most cable clips are designed for specific cable diameter ranges — check the product specifications.
