Quick Disconnect Terminals

Quick-disconnect terminals come as matched male and female halves that push together and pull apart by hand, so a low-voltage circuit can be connected, serviced, and reconnected without cutting or soldering the wire. They are a staple of automotive switches and relays, 12V accessories, speaker and car-audio wiring, and appliance repair.

How to choose

Pick a female receptacle and a male tab in the same tab size (common widths are 2.8 mm, 4.8 mm, and 6.3 mm) so the halves seat properly, and match the barrel to your wire gauge using the red, blue, and yellow colour code. Confirm the rated wire range on the packaging before crimping.
