Nylon cable ties are molded from nylon 6/6, a durable engineering-grade plastic that combines high tensile strength with flexibility. Nylon 6/6 resists oils, most chemicals, and a wide temperature range, which makes it the standard material for everyday cable bundling indoors and out.

What size nylon cable tie do I need?
Choose a tie whose length is at least three times the diameter of the bundle you are securing, and match the tensile strength to the load. As a guide, 4–8 inch ties suit light cable bundles, while 11–14 inch ties handle thicker looms, pipes, and hoses.

Are nylon cable ties reusable?
Standard nylon cable ties have a one-way ratchet and are designed for permanent, single use — they are cut off to remove. If you need to open and re-close ties repeatedly, choose releasable or reusable ties instead.

Can nylon cable ties be used outdoors?
